Works like a charm and was easy to setup.

I currently only use s3 in combination with and remotely save plugin. As I don't like subscriptions this is the way to go.

I'm in Australia right now. I can boot my home PC via Wake On LAN to access my files if I have to. I placed a webcam in front of it so that I can verify that it actually does so.

It's weird seeing my computer 16.500 km away from me. It feels like my own little Mars mission. Especially with how SSH feels at 300-400 ms latency.

And yes, that's a drinking glass I forgot on my desk.

Webcam capture of a completely dark room. The brightest thing is a large monitor displaying a linux console. In front of it, a drinking glass can be made out. Below the monitor, a keyboard is lit up in green.

Super happy with how clean this disk shelf build turned out. And how easy it was! :neocat_aww:

Minisforum MS-01 with external SAS card connected to a disk shelf I built using just a free ATX power supply tester, a SAS adapter, and some drives.

Have been able to retire my power hungry AMD 3400G board and make better use of the 20-core MS-01 this way.

Picture of a 4U 24-bay rack mount server case. It’s got space for a full ATX motherboard but it’s basically empty except for some fans, a power supply and the cable for the drives.

                    . The moment of enlightenment.

Every container on the Tailnet member has access to your Tailnet.

For example, Uptime Kuma can send requests to any of your devices. Any service with server-side processing is a potential hole to your when it is public or someone has access there except you.

Be careful. ACL rules is a must in such cases.

All right, I might as well say it. I *love* having my `mkvm.debian` script.

It spins up a new KVM virtual machine, runs through an automated relatively bare-bones install and upgrade to latest of Debian, sets up a few basics including SSH public key authentication, and when it's all done, logs in to it as root using SSH so I can do, in a relatively isolated environment, whatever I set out to do.

And when done, I can just delete the VM.

Won't win me any awards, but *so* convenient.
