GitHub's Continuous Integration checks passed!
it's up to someone else with commit access to merge it.
I also submitted a story to undeadly.org though I will let one of the other editors publish it after review as a sanity check. I think I corrected all my typos and HTML tags yet at least a second set of eyes is good idea.

So einfach, so mächtig, so gut. Ich liebe es!
New from me: France is done with US big tech companies—arguably its moving away from American tech faster than other countries in Europe
The French government has built its own replacement for Google Docs/Microsoft Office. Cities, including Lyon, are moving to Linux and other tech. Open source is at the center of their efforts.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan shows Palantir the door 🚪
This decision recognises that Big Tech has been grifting the UK for years, by locking us into their exclusive products, jacking up the fees and exporting profits.
The future is open source, NOT shady US spyware companies.
It's time for Digital Sovereignty 🌱

#Fisker went bankrupt and owners built #opensource #car company from the ashes
When Fisker Inc. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2024, it left roughly 11,000 Ocean SUV owners holding the keys to vehicles that cost them anywhere from $40,000 to $70,000 — and that were rapidly losing the software brains that made them work.
What started as desperate troubleshooting has evolved into a genuine open-source ecosystem around the #FiskerOcean.

Ein richtig guter Tag also.
Time to convert my arcade machine over to NixOS. Does this make sense considering I have a working CachyOS setup on it already? No, but something making sense has never stopped me before.
Though it will never stop feeling odd firing up Visual Studio to update my NixOS setup to handle new hosts.
Huh, are the projects clawed back from #puppet , namely #choria and #OpenVox #OpenVoxProject, the only entries in #ConfigurationManagement without LLMs in them?
