Raspberry PI Zero 2 W

Run your own decentralized social platform on shared hosting or a tiny VPS WITHOUT Redis, PostgreSQL, or complex infrastructure.

What it makes so special to me? It looks awesome, comes with a great admin web interface and does not require a VPS instance where it can also be operated on a cheap shared hosting systems. By the given requirements, it also easily runs on a #RaspberryPI and all kind of systems, including #FreeBSD, #OpenBSD, #Illumos and more!

This all makes it perfect to everyone and even beginners to run their own instance. With relay support (e.g., fedi-relay.gyptazy.com) it even can consume and post content over non-directly connected instances in the #fediworld!

Screenshot of LibreOffice Calc showing the release dates for the Raspberry Pi 1B, 2B, 3B, 4B, and 5B I calculated both the average times between each release (September 2026 projection), but also, since the time between the Pi4 and Pi5 was an outlier, I set up a ninth row showing the date of release of the 5b PLUS the time between the 4b and 5b, which takes us into January 2028. Of course, these projections were done before the current "AI" fashbro RAM shortages.

Note to self, If the blogs are weirdly complicated, probably hard to reproduce.

4 fix config.nix (with swap on file, windows style 🤣🤣)

6 reboot

Also da kannste nichts sagen. Habe 7 Anwendungen von einem #raspberrypi in #Container auf einen #proxmox Server in 1,5 Stunden mit #claudecode umgezogen und konnte nebenher andere Sachen machen. Da waren keine ganz einfachen Sachen dabei. Unter anderem #Grafana / #Prometheus #Datenbank etc.. Das war großes Tennis und eine echte Erleichterung.

Vielleicht gerade zu der Zeit, wo viele #Spotify und Co verlassen - oder sich zumindest mit dem Gedanken tragen, kommt zumindest bei mir immer häufiger der Gedanke an ein solches Wohnzimmer-Accessoire auf 🥹

Eigentlich dürfte es ja nicht so wild sein, sowas als replika aufzubauen - selbst ein #RaspberryPi sollte das locker können, nur wie macht man das mit der Eingabe der Tracknummer... weiß da jemand mehr?
