Part 3 of the homelab downsizing series: Why I Left XCP-ng for Proxmox.

I built the old pool on XCP-ng and meant to rebuild on it too. But I couldn't get XCP-ng 8.3 to install on the mini PCs with Secure Boot on, Proxmox installed without a fight, and LXC containers — far lighter than full VMs — sealed it for a lab being squeezed onto much smaller hardware.
