Plutono, Vali, Valitail – A Grafana Fork – IPv6 Container Registry
Plutono is an interactive web application designed for visualizing data through graphs, charts, and alerts. It’s based on a fork of Grafana 7.5 and is maintained by credativ GmbH / NetApp Deutschland GmbH under the Apache 2.0 license, focusing on maintenance and security updates. In 2021, Grafana switched its core product licensing to the more restrictive AGPL v3 to balance open-source values with monetization, which led to the creation of Plutono to mitigate potential impacts on users. Plutono includes tools like Vali, an alternative to Loki, and Valitail. You can find more information about it here in my initial blog post on the Plutono / Vali project.
IPv6 Container Registry
As of late 2024, GitHub and its container registry still lack IPv6 support, posing challenges for IPv6-only environments. To address this, I have created an unofficial IPv6-capable mirror to ensure seamless access and pulling of container images. You can access the mirror at cr.gyptazy.com, making our project accessible to all users regardless of their network configuration.
